This text describes how Piecemeal (piecemealpuzzles.com, trading as Puzzlvent) works today. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer, and some commercial details (company number, registered address, exact retention windows) still need your formal confirmation. It is published so customers can read how we handle photos and orders while that review happens.
What we use cookies for
We use cookies and similar storage so the site works: keeping you signed into staff tools if you have access, remembering basket and play session identifiers, CSRF protection for forms, and remembering cookie preferences you set.
We also use first-party analytics events to understand which steps people complete (upload, play, checkout). Those events use a session identifier rather than advertising trackers from third parties.
Essential vs optional
Essential: security (CSRF), load balancing if any, session/cart/play continuity, storing your cookie choice. The site cannot operate correctly without these.
Optional / analytics: funnel and product analytics. Where the law requires consent for non-essential analytics, we only enable that category after you accept it in the cookie banner (or equivalent control).
Third parties
Payment is completed with Stripe; their pages may set their own cookies under their policy. We do not run third-party advertising pixels on the storefront by default.
If we embed media or fonts from other hosts, those hosts may receive your IP address as part of normal web requests.
How to control cookies
Use Cookie preferences in the site footer (or the banner when it appears) to change non-essential choices. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings; you may need to sign in or rebuild a basket afterwards.
