Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Piecemeal when you play a digital puzzle or order a printed one.

Draft for review — not yet final legal advice

This text describes how Piecemeal (piecemealpuzzles.com, trading as Puzzlvent) works today. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer, and some commercial details (company number, registered address, exact retention windows) still need your formal confirmation. It is published so customers can read how we handle photos and orders while that review happens.

What we offer, and your photograph

Piecemeal (site: piecemealpuzzles.com, brand: Puzzlvent) turns a photograph you supply into a jigsaw you can play in the browser and, if you order, a physical puzzle we arrange to print and post.

You keep ownership of your photograph. You grant us a limited licence to store it, process play/print versions, and send it to our print partner only if you order. We will not sell your photo, use it in ads, publish it, or use it for ML training.

You promise you own the photo or have permission to use it this way, and that it is not unlawful and does not infringe others’ rights. You ask us to print a physical object — that is why rights in the image matter.

Print quality, orders and payment

We check whether your image is sharp enough for the print size you choose. If it is too small we tell you. We may modestly enhance near-miss images (up to about 2× upscale) and we say when we do. Screen colour will not match print colour exactly; that is normal for ink on board, not a defect.

Prices are shown in the currency on the product page; delivery costs appear before payment. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never store full card numbers. A contract forms when we confirm the order. If a price is obviously wrong we may cancel and refund.

Delivery, cancellation and play rooms

Printing and shipping use a third-party fulfilment partner. Delivery dates are estimates. Risk in the goods passes on delivery.

Personalised goods: once production has started, the usual cooling-off right for distance sales generally does not apply to a puzzle made from your photo. You may cancel before we send the job to print by contacting support promptly. Damaged, defective or misdescribed goods remain covered — contact us for a reprint or refund (see Refunds).

Digital play and co-op rooms: anyone with a room link can join, so only share with people you trust with your photo. Rooms expire. Do not use rooms to harass others or share unlawful content.

Liability, changes and contact

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change features.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. For other claims our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law for consumers.

Copyright complaints: email support@piecemealpuzzles.com with enough detail for us to find the material. Governing law and courts: England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
